What is a mobile application?
A mobile application, better known as just an app, is a type software designed to run on a mobile or limited resources device, such as a smartphone or tablet computer. Mobile applications strive to present users with similar services to those accessed on PCs. Apps are in general smaller, individual software tasks with limited function. However as smartphones have risen in popularity and gained additional resources many mobile apps have become the primary delivery method of content and services to users.
